Looking for a replacement for Octavia - it's tough going!

I've owned a Skoda Octavia for the last six years (I bought my current car when it was one year old). It now has nearly 80,000 miles on the clock, and as it's a diesel, and given all your warnings about dual-mass flywheels I'm considering selling it and buying another car.

My problem though, is finding another car that meets my needs as well as the Octavia does. It seems to me that it's a bit of a strangely-sized car - A Golf sized interior with a Mondeo sized boot. The hatchback is really practical.

My question is this, is there any other medium sized car on the market that offers such a decent luggage capacity?

I'm really struggling to find one, and my default option at the moment is just to buy another Octavia, although my problem there is that they seem to cost quite a bit more second hand compared to what they used to...

That's true. The Octavia is unique in this respect. The new Rapid apes it to some extent in a slightly smaller size.
