What replacement Kia Sportage tyres?

I wish to replace the 235 60 R16 100H tyres on my Kia Sportage. My driving is mainly on road but with some occasional off road in forests (I am a conservation volunteer) so would appreciate some grip when creating new trails.
I have looked at reviews of Bridgestone D687, Yokohama Geolander GO 12 at-s and Pirelli Scorpion Verdi but the reviews on all of these tyres is very mixed.
Which tyres would you recommend?

One of the Scorpion Verdis is an 'all weather' tyre so that might be more useful for year round use. But you will find the best compilation of comparative tyre reviews at www.tyrereviews.co.uk

Enjoyable drive, especially in diesel form. Plenty of kit. Rear seats recline and fold flat easily. Roomy and practical.
