What's happening with the ex-Olympic Games BMW fleet?

BMW was one of the Olympic sponsors, providing the only cars that could be used for official Olympic business. Do you have any idea what will happen to this fleet of BMWs after the Olympics are over, and can the public buy one at a bargain price?

The fleet was about 3000 cars strong: 3-Series; 5-Series; 7-Series and a few X3s and X5s needed for towing. The criterion was that the average ECDC CO2 of the Olympic fleet had to be lower than 120g/km, and BMW came in at 116g/km. After the event, the cars are being sold through BMW dealerships. They reckon they can absorb all of them and that's probably true. Expect them to be well priced rather than knockdown bargains.
