My father-in-law wishes to return to driving after a year off the road. His absence was due to deteriorating eyesight caused by cataracts. He has now had the cataracts operated on and his eyesight is fine, but unfortunately he suffers from several other problems including deafness, lack of mobility and mild confusion.

After a difficult conversation he has agreed to take his (first ever) driving test to assess his capability and be bound by the recommendations of the tester. Where can I get such a test?
