Faulty clutch on BMW Mini – should the dealer pay for the repairs?
In April 2013 I bought a 2008 Mini Cooper from an independent dealer. The car was fine until yesterday when it started to make a noise.
BMW Mini has diagnosed the problem as a faulty clutch release bearing. Do I have a potential claim under the Sale of Goods Act against the supplying dealer? Or is this a known fault that BMW Mini should make a contribution to out of goodwill?

This is a wear and tear fault. Obviously it was wearing by the date you bought it. But I think it will be difficult to hang round the neck of the dealer. www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
