When did BMW start installing DPFs in the X3?

I am considering buying a BMW X3 2.0D SE. Could you tell me when the diesel particulate filter was introduced to this model.

All the current model F25 X3 diesels have always had DPFs. That said, I have yet to hear of any trouble with them.
