Steering heavy after replacement alternator?

My Honda Accord's alternator packed up a week ago. Had it replaced with new belts. It made a screaming noise on full lock when I put the Air Con on as I got home. Drove it that evening to pop round to the shops and all was fine. Today I got in, started the car and the steering was incredible heavy, so immediately switched the engine off.

After checking the obvious, all the fluid levels, belts etc. everything looks OK. Do you have you any suggestions?

To be fair it’s the first real problem (from new) in 12 years and 143k miles! To me it’s a dream car, I’ve got a bad back so it’s an Auto and I had Recaros fitted.

Reads like the power steering pump has seized.
