Should I use this service to sell my Jaguar XJ Sovereign, or do it privately?

I am selling my Jaguar XJ Sovereign but, to date, have had limited response from my Auto Trader ad. I have been contacted by a specialist company in Bristol who are offering to take my car and sell it for me at their premises in Bristol. They have indicated to me that they will be able to get a better price for me than selling it privately. They will take a top slice of the price they sell it at and give me the balance. I have to let them have the car and they claim that they do this for lots of clients.

Have you come across them and if so are there any views as to their integrity and honesty? There are some unhappy customers who have bought from them on the Jag forums and it seems that in 2009 they were also known by another name. I can't find anything online that highlights problems from customers that allow them to sell their car, but neither have I found any positive testimonials. Is it a scam or a reliable alternative to a press ad?

If you have any doubts, you should sell privately. There are plenty of ways to do it and you'll probably get as much for it as these guys.
