Buying a new car - Focus, 1 Series or A3?

I am in the processing of buying a car for the first time under the Motability Scheme. I am looking for a small hatchback, but it must be an automatic. So far I feel I have narrowed down my list to the Ford Focus, BMW 1-Series and Audi A3. Which should I buy?

Ford Focus Titanium The 1.6 has a Powershift dual clutch transmission which is excellent. The BMW 1-Series Sport/M-Sport has a torque converter transmission and rear drive. The Audi A3 SE has s-tronic, which is Audi's name for DSG. Obviously, the most prestige attaches to the Audi and the least to the Ford. If you're paying no more you might as well go for the Audi.
