Car making a squealing noise when idling - what's the cause?

The engine in my 2003 Honda Civic is making a squealing noise when idling. I know it is a chain cam but I have traced it to the only obvious belt in the engine bay (or rather two of the wheels it runs on) which seems to be connected to the alternator.

The car has done 120,000 miles and not had this changed as far as I am aware. Do you know if there is a recommended service interval for this component change?

This sort of pulley bearing you replace when it wears out, which seems to be now.
