Need a new car with good comfort - what do you recommend?

Have been looking for a new car to cover around 20k miles a year and my priorities are refinement and long distance comfort - personal purchase rather than via my company. Have been impressed by both the Qashquai 1.6dci and Superb Estate 2.0 140PS for refinement and economy. We have a Prius + which does the 7 seat school run piece, but we would like to be able to use the new car as well for occasional long family journeys. We have 3 children aged 12-8 (no more child seats), and I was amazed by the arm rest configuration in the Superb, which makes the centre seat really uncomfortable (and has not been mentioned in any of the reviews I can find) - presumably there is no aftermarket way of correcting this? Also, have I missed any other options? Budget is around £25k list price.

Qashqai 1.6DCI 130 good. Mazda CX-5 2.2d 150 Skyactiv also good. Mazda 3 2.2d 150 Skyactiv better.
