Volvo V70 - which engine is best?
I currently own a 2006 Volvo V70 with a D5 engine. It has completed 130,000 trouble free miles and I want another V70, probably one year old. Not sure whether to go for another D5, or the latest D4.
Is the latest D4 going to be as reliable as the D5? I did also think about a D3, but as I sometimes tow a glider trailer, I thought that it might lack power. What do you think?

The latest D4 182PS twin turbo four-cylinder is a truly excellent engine. I ran one for 8000 miles and averaged 60mpg in an S60. 400Nm torque gets you up any hill and will easily tow a glider.
