Will a Rover Streetwise be reliable enough for 75,000 miles over the next three years?

I need to pick up a cheapish diesel. I've stumbled across a Rover Streetwise 2-litre diesel with 31,000 on the clock for £3295. I will need three years out of this at an average of 25,000 miles per year, so it needs to be reliable. My gut instinct tells me to avoid a Rover, but any guidance will be really helpful.

We'd suggest avoiding the Streetwise if you want something reliable that isn't going to cost you lots to keep on the road in the coming years, especially if you are covering 25,000 miles a year. Something like a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic would be a better choice - Japanese makes tend to be very reliable and well built.
