BMW 328 engine issues?

I am close to putting an order in for a BMW 3 series GT. After many years of diesels, I've decided to go back to petrol as my mileage is below 10,000 per year. I'd like to go for the 328 engine, but seem to recollect you mentioning a problem with this particular engine, but I can't find it on the web site now. Are there still issues with it or have they been rectified?

All has now changed with the 3 Series and a new modular series of 1.5 litre 3 cylinder and 2.0 litre 4 cylinder engines (both petrol and diesel) are now fitted. The latest incarnation of the 328i is now called the 330i. Too soon to say how reliable it will prove to be in the long run, but, so far, no complaints.
