Can I get a better discount on a new Ford Galaxy for a cash sale?

I've just been into my local Ford dealer with a view to buying a new showroom-displayed and unregistered Ford Galaxy Titanium X 163 2.0 diesel with quite a lot of extras installed from the factory. The total inclusive value of the car with these extras is £34,815, while the extras were valued at £3275. I asked the dealer if he could offer a discount for a cash sale with no trade-in vehicle, so he offered me 10 per cent on the value of the extras but said there was not sufficient profit to offer anything off the vehicle price. Is he being unreasonable or is the profit so low he cannot do such?

That is the price. But unfortunately for Ford, its prices come under a lot of pressure and I simply don't believe that 10 per cent off the extras is the best the dealer can do. Try www.drivethedeal.com.
