What caused an engine fault alert in my new Skoda Fabia?

I took delivery of a new Skoda Fabia TSI / DSG 77kw a month or so ago, and have driven around 450 miles since. Then, yesterday, the car stopped suddenly for no reason and the display showed 'Engine fault: Workshop!' A couple of minutes later I started the engine again and drove off normally as if nothing had happened. Was that a one-time glitch, or can I expect it again? What's it likely to have been?

Probably a choked diesel particulate filter.
