What fuel should I use for a petrol hybrid?
I own a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and do approximately 9000 miles per year. Half of which are local journeys, not exceeding 25 mile round trips, and the other half is motorway driving, approximately 60 mile round trips. Most of the battery charging is from a dedicated charger at home and the petrol engine is not operating for the majority of my journeys. Would I be better off using cheaper petrol rather than forking out £1.31/Ltr. for BP Ultimate?

Definitely not. Because of the way the engine runs, you absolutely need Super, preferably Shell V-Power, to keep the fuel system clean. Running it on ordinary premium unleaded could clog it up.
