How can I check the warranty of a car being sold privately?

I'm buying a secondhand Dacia (two year old) from a private seller. He says that it has five years warranty left from an original seven. How can I check that this is true?

Check with a Dacia dealer, but if he won't tell you due to Data Protection you will need to have it written into your purchase contract that the car comes with five years Dacia warranty outstanding. Once you own the car you can check this and if you find out it doesn't come with five years warranty you can sue for breach of contract.
