I want a semi-automatic car to replace my Honda Civic - should I consider a DSG auto?
I currently drive a Honda Civic ES 1.8 i-Shift semi-automatic with which I'm very happy. It's nearly time to consider something else, but Honda no longer makes this model. It's become a full automatic and the i-Shift is only available on a 1.4 engine. I like the computerised manual and am thus thinking about a model with DSG from the Volkswagen group - but which one? The engine choices seem bizarre to me. I would consider a Volkswagen, SEAT or Skoda. Which model best replaces the Civic in your opinion, please?

I wouldn't touch a DSG. But if you like this type of transmission, Ford/Getrag's Powershift is vastly better.
