Our used Vauxhall Astra has metal deposits in the oil filter, is this a warranty issue?

Our garage has told us that our Vauxhall Astra (2020) has metal bits in the oil filter. We bought the car in early September 2023, with a 2 year warranty. Are we within our rights to complain to Hartwells, where we originally bought the car?

If the vehicle is still within warranty then we would advise returning to the supplying dealer and raising the issue with them. Whether this is covered under warranty or not will depend on the nature of the problem, but you are within your rights to ask them to investigate.
