Diesel or petrol?
I'm looking at buying a van for a new venture, pet services. I will be driving short journeys visiting pets in their own home and collecting dogs to walk. Should I opt for a diesel or petrol van?

A modern diesel with a DPF will not be very suitable for short journeys. For more information on the reasons why, see: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-news/comment/van-drivers.../
I'd recommend buying a petrol van. Something like the Ford Transit Connect EcoBoost: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-news/comment/van-drivers.../
Or perhaps the electric Nissan e-NV200: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/nissan/env200-20.../
The Volkswagen Caddy is also available with petrol-power: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/volkswagen/caddy.../
