Are the warning lights on my Audi A1 linked to the emissions fix?

I had the emissions fix on my Audi A1 Sportsback 1.6 TDi and immediately warning lights started flashing amber on my dash. First was the flashing glow plug system light, then a week later a solid Emission Control System light. Is this just coincidence or is it likely linked to the "fix"? I have it booked in for Audi to look at right now but want a second opinion.

Likely that the EGR of your engine could not cope with the fix. The dealer is liable to replace it. Take it back to the dealer.
