A long wheelbase Ford Transit Custom or Vauxhall Vivaro will suit your needs. The Ford is the better of the two, but is more expensive with 2014 models starting around the £10,000 mark. A 2014 Vivaro can be bought from as little as £6500. For our top 10 mid sized vans, see: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-top-10s/top-10-medium-va...0
If your budget doesn’t stretch that far then you could look at the old Transit as these will easily carry sheet timber; however, these vans have a rather poor reputation when it comes to passing the MoT: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/mot-results/the-mot-files-10...0
