What's the best £5k van to convert to a camper?
I am looking for advice on what type of van to buy with a £5000 budget. This van would be to convert into a camper so I'm looking for van with a medium wheelbase that's tall enough to stand in.

For a camper van conversion you’ll need a medium size van, like the Ford Transit Custom, Volkswagen Transporter, Vauxhall Vivaro or Mercedes-Benz Vito. However, with just £5000 to spend, you’ll be restricted to a lot of tired, high mileage vans that will most-likely give you mechanical problems later on. The old shape Ford Transit might fit your needs. For our full review and used buying guide, see: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/ford/transit-200.../
