I need a van for beekeeping - what do you suggest?

I need to buy a cheap reliable secondhand vehicle to occasionally transport beehives locally. A Ford Transit Connect that would be boarded out seems ideal because of the flat floor and good load height, but I’m wary of it being broken into as they're commonly targeted because it's assumed expensive tools will be kept inside. Our main vehicle is a Škoda Kodiaq, but I’m banned from using that and we occasionally need two cars. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a van-based people carrier could work well. Fold the seats down and they're almost as practical as a van, without any of the concerns you have about a 'proper' van. Something like a Citroen Berlingo can be bought on a budget. Here are our top 10 van-based MPVs: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-top-10s/top-10-van-based.../.
