What's the best automatic van for a camper conversion under £5k?
I'm looking for a panel van to convert into a camper. It needs to be auto so I can share the driving with my wife and it has to be under 5.3m to be able to fit onto our drive fully. We have £5000 to spend.

A budget of £5000 is going to make it difficult to find a good medium size van with an automatic gearbox. Most will have sky high mileages and present expensive problems if they go wrong. Normally, I’d recommend a short wheelbase Ford Transit. There are lots on the market and many are in good condition. It will also fit on your drive, but the automatics are rare and have a poor reputation when it comes to reliability. And if it goes wrong, you’ll be looking at bill that’ll be as much as the van’s worth: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/ford/transit-200.../
