Volvo V70 noisy air con - should I be worried?

I have owned a Volvo V70 T6 from new. However, on occasion, the air conditioning unit makes quite a racket. Should I be worried?

Might be no more than the a/c electromagnetic compressor clutch, in which case that part can usually be changed for £50 - £150. A dealer will usually condemn the entire compressor and charge up to £1000 for a new one when all that needs to be replaced is the clutch.
