What's the best Ford Transit to tow a caravan with?
Can you recommend the best Ford Transit variant to tow a caravan weighing up to 2000kg on long European journeys? It would ideally be a short wheelbase version and either a panel van or double cab van in manual transmission.

Most Ford Transit Custom vans will tow 2000kg. Buying used, I'd aim for the 125PS 2.2 TDCi as this will provide the extra punch you'll need to tackling hills and heavy loads.
