Well equipped, very useable but mega thirsty

Bought this van on the strength of the previous renault master. Hoped they would carry through all the good points of the master and add more good bits.

Good things.
Low load height
Good carrying weight
Very well equipped
Keenly priced,if you ignore the high list price
Very good drive

Bad
Only one.......awful fuel consumption. Previous master version averaged 34mpg. This does 27 driven normally. Trying all light footed techniques can get it to 30 at best, but when driving like this in master I used to get high 30's. Nothing wrong with it and Nissan washed their hands of it by saying it is within spec. Interesting fact is that fully loaded and driving hard it only drops to 26. Small variance window.
