What vans with decent auto gearboxes would you suggest?
I would like a decent van like a Ford Transit or Vauxhall Vivaro, but would like an automatic gearbox, which would you suggest?

The Ford Transit Custom has been available with a six-speed automatic since 2017 and is one of the best all-rounders with a maximum payload of 1.4 tonnes. It’s good to drive too, with affordable fuel costs and a broad range of carrying capacities: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/ford/transit-cus.../
The Citroen Dispatch also has an automatic option and will carry a maximum payload of 1.5 tonnes and move up to three Euro pallets in one go: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/citroen/dispatch.../
If you have more money to spend then you could also add the Volkswagen T6 Transporter to your list, with its optional seven-speed DSG ‘box: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/volkswagen/trans.../

I'm looking for a panel van to convert into a camper. It needs to be auto so I can share the driving with my wife and it has to be under 5.3m to be able to fit onto our drive fully. We have £5000 to spend.

I'd like a smallish automatic campervan. What would recommend? I'd prefer it to be quiet over performance.
