1.3 MultiJet II 90hp SX Light Van

Awful Van

I've now owned this van for 1 year, It's been used to run a plumbing and heating business (it is also my weekend 'car'). It's been serviced every 20K as per manufacturer's guidelines, with oil change every 10K.

Good Points:
-It's cheap second hand
-Comfortable enough to drive
-Engine bay is reasonably accessible.

Bad Points:
-The seats don't tip forward, if you lose something down behind them you have to wind the seats forward!
-43MPG is poor economy.
-I go through about a bulb every 2/3 months (no they're not cheap ones).
-There is zero practical storage in the cab except the glove box, and side pockets.
-The rear can not fit 2.4m lengths of timber etc, even diagonally.
-The spare wheel needs a special spanner to lower.
-Door hinges/sliders are rusting.
-Unreliable @ 65K, already had new clutch, turbo valve, 2 springs.
-Trims are starting to fall off/break.
-Front tyres wear very quickly.
