Basic and robust
After two troublesome Renault vans I was after something more reliable with fewer potential problems. The Caddy has no turbocharger, no particulate filter, no dual mass flywheel and no unnecessary equipment. It's as simple as modern vehicles get and aside from a clutch judder at 20,000 miles which credit to VW they replaced free of charge without quibble thanks to me maintaining a full dealer history which was no chore either being only marginally dearer than a backstreet garage. Van itself is pleasant to drive, has a better payload than rivals but it's a little noisy on the road.
