Ford Transit is the safest van

Ford’s new Transit Custom has been awarded a full five stars by Euro NCAP in its latest round of crash tests, and it ranks as the safest current van in its class. On top of that it’s the first vehicle in its class ever to be awarded five stars, with an overall safety rating score of 77%.

Stuart Southgate, Ford automotive safety director said: “For Euro NCAP to evaluate our vehicles and determine that they are segment leaders in their safety assessment is a wonderful recognition of the values and talent of our designers and engineers.”

Ford also scored well with its scores – winning safest car in class for small SUVs with the Kuga and joint safest MPV with the B-MAX. Click here for the full list of safety honours.
