Wellhouse introduces long wheelbase Ford Transit Terrier
Ford has announced a longer version of the Transit Custom based Terrier camper. Priced from £44,000, the LWB model is 36.7cm longer than the standard model, which is provides enough additional interior space to add an optional pair of extra rear seats, for a total of up to seven.
As with the standard Terrier, the rear bench seat can be moved on rails, meaning rear seat passengers can sit further forward, freeing up space for transporting large items like bicycles. The seats then slide back to provide more cabin space. Buyers can specify one or two additional seats, which can be swivelled to create a lounge-style layout.
The LWB variant also benefits from a longer elevating roof which, for an additional £450, can house an additional, extra-large double bed, accessed via a ladder.
The LWB Terrier benefits from the latest 2.0-litre, 130PS diesel engine, which supersedes the 2.2-litre, 125PS TDCI and brings improved economy and a higher torque output. Both SE and Sport trim levels are offered and prices start at £44,000 before options. Each individual additional rear seat is £600.
