Land Rover Discovery Commercial At A Glance

3/5

+Refined and comfortable cabin, proven 4x4 powertrain, 3.5 tonne towing capacity.

-Expensive, not as practical as a one-tonne pick-up.

New Discovery Commercial will be based on the latest 4x4 SUV and provide 1856 litres of loadspace, with the second and third row of seats removed to free up storage capacity.

Measuring up to 1.6 metres long and 1.4 metres wide, the loadspace will carry 1856 litres of cargo, while the powered tailgate will accept loads measuring up to 1000 x 735mm.  A trailer stability system will be fitted as standard, helping the driver tow up to 3.5 tonnes when connected to a braked trailer.

The all-diesel engine line-up will have two powertrain options: a 240PS 2.0-litre SD4 and a 258PS 3.0-litre TD6, with both linked to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. As you’d expect from Land Rover, four-wheel drive is fitted as standard and the driver also gets a raft of tech to help the Discovery power its way through everything from mud to snow.

With prices starting at £48,695 (including VAT), standard equipment will be high with air suspension, cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and a heated windscreen fitted as standard. Land Rover's InControl Touch Pro touchscreen infotainment and navigation will also be featured, along with DAB audio, heated door mirrors and automatic tyre pressure monitoring.

New commercial version of the Land Rover Discovery goes on sale

Featuring 1856 litres of flexible load space replacing the second and third row seats, the new Discovery affords driver and passenger premium levels of comfort and entertainment.

Available with Land Rover’s Ingenium 2.0D SD4 240HP and 3.0D TD6 258HP engines, Discovery Commercial shares the fundamental underpinnings of the Discovery, from its wide-spaced double-wishbone design at the front to its advanced multi-link layout at the rear, the Discovery Commercial’s suspension delivers more responsive handling without compromising Land Rover’s all-terrain capability and makes all journeys confident, comfortable and engaging.

Discovery Commercial comes exclusively with four wheel drive, automatic transmission, twin-speed transfer box, air suspension and a full-size spare wheel. Fitted solely with Discovery’s front row seating; driver comfort and convenience remain unchanged with InControl Touch Pro featuring as standard.

The second and third row seating have been replaced with 1856 litres of hard-wearing load-space. Accessed by a powered tailgate and benefiting from Discovery’s innovative powered inner tailgate, Discovery Commercial’s load-space measures 1635mm long, 939mm high and 1411mm wide. The boot aperture is large enough to accept loads measuring up to 1000 x 735mm.

Retaining the exterior design of Discovery, rear window concealment panels are masked by privacy glass so Discovery Commercial can be undistinguishable as a commercial vehicle if desired.
