Ford Fiesta Van (2013–2017)

What's good

Excellent TDCi engines are strong, quiet and frugal. The new 1.5 dCi unit with 75PS is the one to go for but all TDCi engines emit less than 100g/km of CO2.

High quality interior means it doesn't feel like a van from behind the wheel. The seats are impressively comfortable, with height adjustment on the driver's seat, so the driving position is excellent - ideal if you spend a long time behind the wheel.

All models get a trip computer and a CD stereo with iPod connectivity as standard plus remote audio controls.

Boot gets a tough rubber floor mat and four cargo tie-down hooks.

What's bad

Entry-level 1.25-litre petrol is peppy enough at low speeds but struggles on the open road, especially with a full load.
