Mitsubishi Shogun Commercial (2007–2018)
Sensational ability off-road is the defining feature of the Shogun and the SWB model is especially adept in tight, muddy situations.
Plenty of low-down pulling from the reliable 3.2-litre turbodiesel engine and also decent economy in all models.
Shogun Commercial models have a reasonable amount of carrying capacity and all can tow hefty weights with a braked trailer.
Recall 11-06-2007: Steering control may be lost when car is used regularly off-road.
Recall 17-08-2007: Drive may be lost due to a bolt welded to the gearshift lever fracturing and allowing shift cable to move.
Recall 07-01-2008: Drive shaft securing nuts may loosen due to incorrect nuts being fitted.
Recall 04-02-2009: Brake pedal assist function may not operate correctly due to incorrect manufacturing process of brake assist accumulator.
If you’re after any sort of long distance refinement, the Shogun Commercial is not the vehicle for you due to engine, road and wind noise.
The ride and handling of the Shogun Commercial leave a lot to be desired and the vehicle is feeling its age with its on-road manners.
