March 2007
Corsavan launched in the UK
Available in the same single trim level as the old model, this Corsavan comes with either an 80PS 1.2-litre Twinport petrol engine or a 75PS 1.3-litre CDTi diesel. Both units are used in the car version of the Corsa.
Standard equipment on both models includes an integrated CD stereo, body-coloured bumpers, side protection mouldings, central locking with deadlocks, electric door mirrors, 14-inch wheeltrims and tinted tailgate glass, with options including air conditioning, ESP and rear park assist.
It has a full-length flat load floor and a taller, wider tailgate while the payload is upped to 550kg, an increase of 85kg over the previous model. Designed from the outset as a commercial vehicle, the Corsavan is also available with a four-piece folding load cover – a £75 option that gives it a significant security advantage.
August 2007
Corsavan Sportive introduced
Powered by a 90PS version of the 1.3-litre CDTi engine, the Corsavan Sportive comes with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. It gets a styling pack which includes body-coloured side mouldings, front fog lights, a sports exhaust tailpipe and 15-inch alloy wheels. Other features over and above the standard Corsavan include heated, body-coloured door mirrors, sports instruments, air conditioning, electric windows and sports seats.
August 2010
Corsavan ecoFLEX launched
It's the first Vauxhall commercial vehicle to feature start/stop technology, enabling the Euro 5-compliant 1.3 CDTi 75PS models to achieve an official 70.6mpg – a near 8mpg improvement - over the previous Euro 4 model. CO2 is reduced to 105g/km. Torque also increases by 20Nm to 190Nm. All start/stop vans are fitted with a DPF Diesel Particulate Filter.
July 2011
Corsavan ecoFLEX made more efficient. The Corsavan 1.3 CDTi 16v 95PS ecoFLEX Start/Stop now emits 95g/km of CO2 thanks to efficiency improvements including a variable geometry turbocharger, lowered chassis, aerodynamic wheel covers and optimised gear ratios. These help the Corsavan ecoFLEX achieve Euro 5 compliancy as well as a claimed average of 78.3mpg.
May 2012
1.2-litre petrol added
The Corsavan range sees the addition of a new engine option, a 1.2 petrol unit with start/stop. The new Corsavan engine has CO2 of 119g/km, a saving of 5g/km over the standard 1.2 engine with a claimed 55.4mpg.
October 2012
DAB upgrade introduced
DAB digital radio is now available for all Vauxhall commercial vehicles for £195. The system is fitted by Vauxhall retailers and can be completely integrated with existing steering-wheel mounted controls and the installed stereo’s display. The installation is quick and because it’s connected directly into the van’s existing entertainment system, there are no unsightly wires or extra controls to worry about.
