Is the DPF on a Fiat 2.3 Multijet engine expensive to replace?

The DPF on the Fiat 2.3 multi jet engine ranges in price from around £300 for an aftermarket part to just over £1100 for a genuine factory part. Replacement isn't too difficult - you'll be looking at 2-3 hours about from a garage so if you factor in around £200 about then you'd be looking at around £500 to £1300 depending on the choice of parts used.
