Buying a second hand van - what do you recommend?

For various reasons we need a second car. I have a small business and I am thinking of buying a small van. It would be second hand. People say that second hand vans are usually knackered. What do you recommend?

Probably better to buy a Berlingo Multispace than a Berlingo van. Has the same capacity, but insurance is much cheaper and it will retain its value much better.
