Which van for a gardening work

My Land Rover Discovery has failed its MOT and needs a lot of welding done. It is not worth doing the work, so I need a new vehicle for my job. It needs to be capable of towing a trailer and it needs space for a strimmer and a hedge cutter, along with the rest of the assorting gardening gear.

I'm thinking of a small van, but I'm open to other suggestions. I didn't really want to spend more than £3,000. A side door and good fuel economy would be beneficial.

A friend of mine, who was a gardener until injured by some cutting technology, used to rate Renault Trafics. The low floor made it so easy to load mowers, etc. and he didn't need a trailer.
