What's the best van to use for courier work?
Can you advise me what van would serve me better as a courier and what would be the best way to finance it?

It very much depends on how much you’ll be carrying and how far you'll be driving on a daily basis. If you'll be covering more than 15 miles per drop then a modern Euro6 diesel will meet your needs and avoid any emission zone charges. However, cover anything shorter than 15 miles and you'll leave yourself open to DPF problems: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-news/comment/van-drivers.../
The Ford Transit Custom is the best diesel van on sale right now, with lots of carrying capacity and car-like driving dynamics: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/ford/transit-cus.../
I’d also add the Vauxhall Vivaro and Toyota Proace to your list, with the latter getting a five year warranty as standard: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-top-10s/top-10-medium-va...0
If your deliveries will be mostly in towns/cities and involve lots of short runs then a petrol van might be a better option as it’ll avoid any costly DPF problems. The Volkswagen Transporter is offered with a 2.0 TSI petrol engine and provides similar carrying capacity to the standard diesel. We ran one for three months as a daily driver and you can read our long term test report here: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/our-vans/volkswagen-transpor.../

Impressive 1.6-litre diesel, very quiet and refined on the move, DAB as standard, similar cargo area (to old Vivaro and Trafic) means existing racking and conversions will still fit.
