What's the best pick-up on a budget?

What is the best bet for an older twin cab pick-up on a £2-3k budget? It will be used for light use and occasionally towing a caravan.

The Toyota Hilux has the best reputation for reliability, but you’ll struggle to find a good one for under £3000. Most pick-ups in this price range are 15+ years old with 200,000+ miles on the clock. Few will be reliable or cheap to run and maintain.

Unless you can up your budget to £5000, I'd forget the idea of a pick-up and opt for a second-hand van instead. The Mk6 Transit is plentiful on the used market and £3000 should source a decent van that will be apt for carrying loads and lugging a caravan.: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/ford/transit-200.../
