Overall reliability
powerful, quiet, pleasure to drive
The 2.2 Puma motor is very powerful, and will easily cruise at 80mph (130kph) abroad. With a laden van at this speed consumption is about 22mpg. Driving more sedately 50 or so mph 27-28 mpg is possible.
Had a problem with the van cutting out as one decelerated approaching a junction; took it to my local dealers and it was already noted on the engine management system as a problem; so they adjusted it and no further problems. Had a further problem with the fuel tank, when full it would overflow (stood in a puddle of diesel!) dealer replaced the cork gasket to the inspection hatch on top of the tank.
I say the engine is powerful, as it is quite easy when pulling away on a wet road, to spin the wheels in 3rd gear!!
