Ford Transit Custom (2013 - 2024)
transit custom 2.2 limited 290lwb 125ps
5th review & yet more disapointments from a £23k limited edition van
5th ongoing review. Van been back to Ford regards rain ingress into the engine compartment from the plastic trim below the windscreen wipers. Apparently my van has had the modification for this done prior to purchase - all to no avail as the alternator and ecu still get wet. I will be contacting Ford with photos of this failing again, despite them saying there is no problems here.
Had a slight snow experience, this leaves snow on the van roof by the side sliding door, with the egg shaped design and no roof channel when you load up its basically an avalanche waiting to drop onto your head / neck and into the cargo bay.
I am getting fed up of small items getting lost between the drivers and passengers seat as you cannot get your hand between to retrieve the lost small items.
Compared to the old Mk7 transit I had then this is niggle number 50 compared to the 8 improvements in my opinion of the new transit custom van.
Still 23mpg around town.
Its been in at 4k for a new brake switch.
