Fulfils it's purpose but let down by dreadful gearbox

I bought 8 seat version with quickshift box new in 2008 and have had problems ever since. I have done 15,000 miles and during that time it's been back to the dealer so many times I 've lost count. The main problem is with the gearbox, it's very harsh in the lower gears and lurches forward making the passengers very uncomfortable. The harsh gear change is unpredictable but happens more frequently at slow speeds, roundabouts and junctions.
Renault has replaced the clutch. The engine and gearbox has been re-programmed three times and last week I had a replacement battery. The Renault dealer said that although they have experienced the problem on test drives they can find no fault and I have now lost all confidence in Renault and my Trafic.
I also find the seats difficult and heavy to take out.
I have met other Trafic Quickshift owners who say they have also had problems with the gearbox to the extent they now drive in manual mode.
The Quickshift gear box is nearly £1000 which is a complete waste of money.
Has anyone else had these problems and is there any known cure??????
