Love and frustration

This is my second new vito and while it works I really do love the driving experience. It doubles as my work vehicle and family car, basic servicing is relatively low cost, fuel consumption is high 30's even on the motorway. Its quiet, comfortable and roomy for family, bikes, canoes on the roof etc.... But, I am absolutely staggered at how much unsheduled work this vehicle gas needed. In the first 3 years on ownership Mercedes had it in their workshops for over 5 weeks doing warranty work then, on more than one occasion having it back again to rectify faults caused by the warranty work they carried out! New air conditioning fans, new radiator, engine bay rewired, new gear linkage cables, parking brake dragging, new oil filter housing, roof re-painted (paint was pealing after two years). New particle filter at 90K miles even though I spend much of my time at motorway speeds? EGR not reconnected after warranty work in the engine bay was another problem. A plastic rod connecting the throttle body to a vacuum actuator is the latest failure (had to by a new throttle body). Central locking is intermittent, electric widow switch is failing, the roof has started rusting again, radio/Cd player has failed. I have done 100,000 in 4 years, It is not treated as a van it is my family car and does not have a hard life. Its bean a frustrating ownership. About to replace it with a Toyota Hilux
