Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (2006 - 2013) - 93 per cent of official figure

Real MPG ratings for Mercedes-Benz are limited to just the Sprinter (2006 - 2013 model) and the Vito. The former scores highly - 93 per cent average - with the 316 CDI being the most efficient, with a real world rating of 102 per cent. Both the 311 and 313 CDI rank 90 per cent or better, which makes the big Mercedes one of the best large vans for efficiency.
