Peugeot Boxer fuel pump failure

I need help with my Peugeot Boxer camper van. The vehicle is a 2008 model and has a full service history. In brief, the high pressure fuel pump has failed and snapped the end of the cam shaft. Has this occurred to other people? Do you think I have any redress with Peugeot given the mileage?

Sorry, not a chance because it's more than six years old. This sort of thing happens to vans that are designed to do 200,000 miles in four years then get scrapped but that are instead used as the bases of camper vans that hardly get used. The problem occurred through lack of use.
